Having been 'away' for some time professional killer Frankie Bono returns to New York to do another job: assassinate some mid-level mobster. The film's opening moments picture an insect expert digging up and then tracking the travels of a poisonous male spider who has burrowed in the coffin of one of its victims from the Venezuelan jungle to California. Although the scientist knows they are deadly, he wants to pursue his research regardless of the danger. Then the film cuts to a doctor and his wife leaving the hustle and bustle of San Fransisco and moving out to the country. When they arrive, he becomes the town doctor, but he soon earns the nickname "Dr. Death" because none of his patients survive. At first, he can't understand what's killing so many people; then he realizes the disease might be caused by a rare breed of spider. Not even the exterminator believes him -- until it is almost too late.

A group of researchers are on a research expedition to Venezuela. Upon a routine trapping of insects, the researchers find two stunned spiders in their traps. They are unlike any spiders they have ever seen, and they begin to study the spiders. One of these spiders escapes, and kills a researcher. Once the researcher is discovered dead, the spider hitches a ride back to the researchers home town, Canaima, California. There, Dr. Ross Jennings has just moved in, and he is deathly afraid of spiders. Now, the Venezuelan spider has reached the U.S., and has begun to dominate the town. Soon, people who appear completely healthy start to die suddenly. It is only after the death of the town's only other doctor, that Jennings realizes it may be a spider that is causing the death. Soon, they attract the attention of the head researcher in Venezuela, Dr. James Atherton. He sends his assistant to Canaima, only verifying that the Venezuelan spider was involved. He informs them that the Venezuelan spider plans on taking over its new area, by creating reproductive offspring with a domestic house spider. Now, it's a race against time before the Venezuelan spider manifests the town and eventually the entire country.

The bounty attracts a young gun billing himself as 'The Schofield Kid', and aging killer William Munny. Munny reformed for his young wife, and has been raising crops and two children in peace. But his wife is gone. Farm life is hard. And Munny is no good at it. So he calls his old partner Ned, saddles his ornery nag, and rides off to kill one more time, blurring the lines between heroism and villainy, man and myth.

David Cronenberg's remake of the 1958 classic transcends its genre to become a moving portrait of a man and his lover attempting to come to terms with his physical disintegration. "The Fly" stars Jeff Goldblum as a spaced-out scientist who invents a genetic teleportation machine and accidentally transforms himself into a fly. In the horrifyingly graphic detail that is his trademark, Cronenberg depicts the scientist's painful mutation from human into insect. What gives the film its tragic dimension is the emotional depth of the relationship between the scientist and his journalist girlfriend (Geena Davis) as she witnesses his slow, painful metamorphosis.

Seth Brundle, a brilliant but eccentric scientist attempts to woo investigative journalist Veronica Quaife by offering her a scoop on his latest research in the field of matter transportation, which against all the expectations of the scientific establishment have proved successful. Up to a point. Brundle thinks he has ironed out the last problem when he successfully transports a living creature, but when he attempts to teleport himself a fly enters one of the transmission booths, and Brundle finds he is a changed man. This Science-Gone-Mad film is the source of the quotable quote "Be afraid. Be very afraid."

Seth Brundle is a research scientist, employed by Bartok Sciences, who has invented "Telepods" two matter transmission pods that teleports any object through space from one "Telepod" to the other "Telepod". But, it is until Seth meets journalist Veronica Quaife who inspires Seth to correct the system, that Seth achieves successful teleportation. But something goes horribly wrong, when Seth uses himself as a guinea-pig in a matter transmission experiment, as he teleports himself, unaware his genes have been fused with a house fly that was trapped in the telepod with him. Seth, now finds himself slowly transforming into a terrifying mutant creature known as "Brundlefly" as he finds himself in a fierce battle as his mutated genes begins to take over.

Ellen, an unknown female gunslinger rides into a small, dingy and depressing prairie town with a secret as to her reason for showing up. Shortly after her arrival, a local preacher, Cort, is thrown through the saloon doors while townfolk are signing up for a gun competition. The pot is a huge sum of money and the only rule: that you follow the rules of the man that set up the contest, Herod. Herod is also the owner, leader, and "ruler" of the town. Seems he's arranged this little gun-show-off so that the preacher (who use to be an outlaw and rode with Herod) will have to fight again. Cort refuses to ever use a gun to kill again and Herod, acknowledging Cort as one of the best, is determined to alter this line of thinking ... even if it gets someone killed ...

The blonde stranger riding into town isn't Clint, it's Stone. She's tough (can fist fight with the best of them), and an accurate and fast gun. There's a gunfighting competition in town. The quick and the brave sign up. The prize is a huge pot of money, but not everyone is in it for the riches, some seek revenge, others respect, but only one can win. Oh, did I mention the local bad guy who runs the town as well as the competition.

The story focuses on 'The Lady' (Sharon Stone), a gunfighter visiting the town of her father's killer, John Herod (Gene Hackman). At the time of her visit, a contest is being held. A contest of dueling. She joins, thinking it will help her get vengeance, and meets former henchman for Herod, Cort (Russel Crowe), and Herod's son, 'The Kid' (Leonardo DiCaprio).

Square is a strong advocate for European skating with hand-picked riders from the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Norway etc… They also handle a well rounded team that will travel to your local spot and kill it. You got full pipes? They can handle it. You got rails? That’s covered too. How about ledges? Are you kidding?!? Here’s how No place like home… demonstrates these skills:



The first guy to open the show is Matthieu Hilaire who lives approximately 100 meters away from a Lyon’s main street spot- Hotel de Ville. Matt has already got necks hurting from a lot of head-turning in France, so I guess that’s because of all the training he can get in at Hotel. Remember his name.
Next up are a few twin sections where riders pair up and get busy in the streets. Take note that each rider gets his or her share of the limelight, and the general mood comes across as being one of good friendship.

In France, Baptiste Myzor and William Phan serve out some serious tips in line building. Baptiste leaps on a couple of rails, whilst William takes his time to let his flawless steez flow.

Dan Wileman and Lucien Clarke double up for a great part of stumpwood annihilation. While Dan attacks everything with fearless speed, Lucien puts down some buttery hammers with a smile on his face.

Don’t let the blonde hair, blue eyes and cheeky smile fool you! Steffi Weiss is set to push female street skating, and introduces herself well to those who doubt the opposite sex.

Elsewhere, Alexis Jauzion fills the shoes of the gnarly ATV by charging at more than one high risk spot, and Raul Fernandez shows us that being a team manager doesn’t mean you skate less.
Stefan Bircher has a short but sweet part, and actually takes the time to bow down from the pro ranks in order to concentrate on making films about women being jiggled around in the gym(???).

Thibaud Fradin looks a lot more relaxed than previous footage would suggest and varies up his trick selection. The result is a pretty mental part.

Two of Spain’s greatest street skaters join forces to produce a part that could blow many a top pro out of the water. Dani Lebron and Jesus Fernandez are the tech twins that have skills to pay the bills, and the authority to film lines at Macba.

Finally, the Norwegian version of precision engineering- Henning Braaten. Santa Cruz just picked up Henning, and despite not doing him justice in their DVD, Square definitely put this Northerner on the map. You might be blown away by his switch pop or his 360 flips, but please take note of the switch backfoot flip mid-line ??? Henning murks it!

I will add that Square took the time to interlace the video with funny skits involving various riders. These skits serve their purpose and bring a wry smile to any Euro face watching this DVD. There are also various bonus features including some of the pros commentating their sections, the flow team and alternate angles.

Overall, Square’s No place like home… makes you feel proud of your European roots and the talent our continent can raise.
